Invitation

Dear Prospective Delegates,

It is my pleasure to invite you to our first international crisis simulation conference, taking place in Berlin from Friday 13th April, 2012 to Sunday 15th April, 2012 at the Hertie School of Governance.

BICS is a crisis simulation that will offer an intense, exciting and demanding environment where delegates can develop and hone their diplomatic skills and managerial skills.

This conference will host a total of five dynamic committees, comprised of: the 1992 United Nations Security Council, a present-day day triple-joint-crisis simulating the Public Sector (Arab League), Private Sector (Chamber of Commerce), and Civil Society (Arab Rediscovery Group) with a particular focus on the Arab Spring, and the United Nations Security Council set in 2032. The dates were specifically chosen to represent the 20th anniversary of the 1992 UN Security Council sessions, and to simulate a UN Security Council 20 years from now.

The conference fee is €30 per delegate. Registration, via an online application form, is open from 25th January until 25th March, 2012. Please visit our facebook page for continuous updates or send us an email.

We look forward to welcoming you in April at BICS 2012.

Yours sincerely,

Jan Schubert
Secretary-General
