Mostapha Boukllouâ

EMPM Class of 2010 (2-year programme)

Mostapha shares his experience of the Hertie School of Governance and the Executive Master of Public Management.

If you were asked to highlight one thing that you have learnt during your time at the Hertie School what would it be and why?

I would especially highlight the inter-sectoral approach, meeting with people from very different professional contexts and their different perspectives, makes the study experience at the Hertie School very special.

How have you experienced studying while working and how have your EMPM studies enriched the way you approach your work?

I am a career changer in my current position,so all learning content directly related to my daily work: from human resources management to strategic development, from management of budget to performance management.

How have you experienced and/or benefitted from the international character and approach of the Hertie School?

The course has a very international character. Participants come from Scandinavia, Britain or the U.S., this allows an insider's view of the prevailing structures in the public sector in various countries. Very often this has also changed my perspective with regard to the situation in Germany.
