The Ambassador Series is a student initiative at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. In February 2007, Ambassador William R. Timken from the United States, visited the Hertie School for an evening discussion, and this event was such a success that a group of students decided to replace it, and thus a new studen-led initiative, "The Ambassador Series", begin in the Fall of 2007. The idea of this series is to invite notable ambassadors to visit the Hertie School of Governance for an informal evening discussion moderated by students on their work, career, country and profession.
