Practice Council

To strengthen its working relationship with the professional world, the Hertie School has invited representatives of national and international organisations to advise and guide the school as it develops its offerings.

The Practice Council is an informal body dedicated to exchanges that take up real-world professionals’ most current needs and discussions regarding the education and advanced training of leaders. At the same time, the members of the Practice Council can be approached directly in regard to the particular experiences and insights they bring from their specific fields.

The members of the Practice Council represent federal ministries, civil society organisations, businesses that overlap with the public sector, and international organisations. Within such organisations, the council members are chiefly responsible for divisions and projects relating to personnel development and the support of young talents.

Members of the Practice Council:

Ulrich Heise, Gesellschaft für technische Zusammenarbeit

Dr. Peter Hannen, Kienbaum Executive Consultants GmbH

Heino v. Meyer, OECD Berlin Centre

Jürgen Streeck, Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie

Ambassador Brita Wagener, Auswärtiges Amt

Dr. Hans Willmann, Verein Deutscher bei internationalen Organisationen (VDBIO)

The Practice Council undergoes ongoing expansion.
