51 participants are currently enrolled in the EMPM programme. They are experienced professionals from regional, national or international administrations, as well as from the private, or the nonprofit sector. Just as varied is the participants' academic background, ranging from political and social sciences, law and economics to natural sciences and other disciplines. Some participants travel to the courses from places as far away as Brussels, Bucharest, London, Moscow or Washington D.C., to name only a few.
