Scholarships
The Hertie School of Governance offers a limited number of highly competitive scholarships to exceptional applicants:
- Officials from the German Public Administration (Bund, Länder-, Kommunalebene) can apply for the EMPM Behörden Spiegel Scholarship.
- German officials working in international organisations or European institutions and who are registered with CommIO can apply for the EMPM CommIO Scholarship.
- Candidates who wish to apply for the EMPM European Scholarship must currently work for an EU institutions, or on European or EU-related issues.
- The EMPM Central and Eastern European Scholarship is directed at officials from public administrations and institutions in Eastern and Central European countries.
- Moreover, especially qualified candidates may apply for a Hertie School Scholarship.
The funds will be granted with a view to the quality of the application, his/her contribution to the diversity of the student body as well as the financial need of the applicant.
In view of the limited number of scholarships, candidates should seek alternative sources (external scholarships or loans) early. Tax advisors should also be consulted for more information about tax-deduction of professional training expenses.
The application deadline for the Behördenspiegel, the CommIO, the European and the Central Eastern European Scholarship is 15 March 2013.
