Canada and the Untited States: Deferment Loans
The Hertie School of Governance has been added to the master designation list of educational institutions for Canada and the United States of America. As such an "Eligible Institution", the Hertie School is authorized to certify "in-school" loan deferment applications for students from the U.S. and Canada. An in-school loan deferment suspends a student's obligation to repay prior U.S. or Canadian Federal Student Loans while enrolled. Students from Canada are eligible to receive government funded student loans. Furthermore, they may be eligible to receive aid through their province or territory's Student Assistance Office.
Students must be enrolled at the Hertie School at least half-time to receive loan deferments. Furthermore, the authorized official at the Hertie School must sign the deferment form. As an alternative to the signature, the Hertie School may attach its own enrollment certification report listing the required information.
