
Eva Heidbreder joined the Hertie School as Postdoctoral Researcher in 2010. She is involved in the research cluster “Global Governance” and teaches public policy and EU integration in the Master Programmes. After completing her PhD in political science at the European University Institute (Florence), Eva Heidbreder spent a year as postdoctoral fellow in the Researchers College The Transformative Power of Europe at the Freie Universität Berlin, where she subsequently worked as Associate Professor for Professor Tanja Börzel. She holds a post-graduate degree in European Integration from the Institute for Advanced Studies (Vienna), a Magistra Rerum Europae from the Universität Osnabrück and an M.A. in European Studies from the University of North London. International teaching experiences include besides the EUI in Florence the Universiteit Antwerpen and the l'Institut d'Études Politiques de Grenoble. Her professional experiences include further an internship at the European Institute for Public Administration (Maastricht) and she served at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies for three years as assistant of the Action Committee for European Democracy, chaired by Giuliano Amato. Her current research focuses on the European Administrative Space.
