Azucena Morán holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Bologna, specialising in political philosophy. At the Hertie School of Governance, she focused on human rights, ethics and democratic theory. Her previous professional experience includes working for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), The Cambodia Daily, and the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. Her interests lie in participatory advocacy and in the intersection of human rights and democracy. She is one of the Executive Editors of The Governance Post.
