James Robert Fritz is a Master of International Affairs student at the Hertie School of Governance. Focusing his studies on international security and sustainability, James is writing his thesis under the supervision of Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and German from the University of Pittsburgh, and has previously served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. Since being in Berlin, James has participated in several conferences and academic simulations regarding international security, international relations, and security studies. James serves as an editor of Global Politics, Security & Governance at The Governance Post. He is seeking a career in consultation, foreign service, government, private-sector government affairs, or within a think tank.
