Lilian Seffer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin, with a semester abroad at the American University in Cairo. At the Hertie School of Governance, she studied international affairs and specialised in security and sustainability. Lilian completed a Professional Year with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GiZ) on a project supporting the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in the peace and security division. Furthermore, she has professional experience working as a junior advisor in the GiZ’s Police Programme Africa, as a student assistant at the Center for Middle Eastern and North African Politics at the FU and as a consultant for TheReformist, a pan-African youth magazine. She is a founding member of the Hertie Social Response.
