Dual MPP with Sciences Po
Sciences Po’s School of Public Affairs in Paris and the Hertie School of Governance have joined forces to offer a dual master’s degree programme in public policy.
This 2-year programme combines the study of economics, public policy and management. It is designed for young professionals who navigate the borders of the public and private sectors and want to gain expertise in the management and evaluation of public policy in the European context.
Programme
During the first year, students are enrolled in Sciences Po’s MPP and take courses in Paris. During the second year, students are enrolled in the Hertie School’s MPP and take courses in Berlin.
Tuition
Students pay the tuition fees stipulated by their host institution (Sciences Po for the first year, and the Hertie School for the second year).
Admissions
The dual degree programme in public policy is open to candidates worldwide. Admission is competitive, based largely on academic excellence and professional focus. Please visit Sciences Po's website for more information on how to apply.

Atlantis dual degree with the Maxwell School at Syracuse University
The Atlantis dual degree is a joint programme offered by the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in Syracuse, New York, and the Hertie School.
Atlantis students complete the first year of their studies in Syracuse either in the Master in International Relations (MAIR) or Master of Public Administration (MPA) programme, and finish the dual degree at the Hertie School either in the Master of Public Policy (MPP) or Master of International Affairs (MIA) programme.
Admissions
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through the Hertie School's application portal either through the MPP or MIA application forms mentioning their Atlantis candidacy in the "Further information" section.

How to apply
To increase your chances of a scholarship or financial aid you are encouraged to apply by 1 February.
You need the following:
- Bachelor's (or equivalent) from any disciplinary background
- Curriculum vitae
- Letter of motivation
- Academic transcripts
- Academic letters of reference
- English proficiency certificate (TOEFL or IELTS)
Applications are accepted until 1 May.
The deadline for the dual-MPP with Sciences Po is 16 March 2018.
Additional dual degree opportunities
Students can alternatively apply for a dual degree programme after they have started their studies at the Hertie School. Successful candidates spend their second year of study at the partner institution. Following the year abroad, students receive a degree from both institutions. Our students can apply during their first semester to one of the following partners:
