The Hertie School congratulates the winners of the Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) poster competition. One day ahead of their graduation, students participated in an exhibition of posters featuring their thesis projects. Christine Reh, Dean of Graduate Programmes, opened the exhibition and presented the prizes.

The winners of this year’s EMPA thesis poster competition are:

1st place – Jaylan ElShazly, How Can Economic Empowerment Programs Targeting Women Have Sustained Impact?

2nd place – Toni Kaatz-Dubberke, Evaluating Artificial Intelligence Innovation Systems in Low- and Middle-Income Countries: The Case of Tunisia

3rd place - Charles Corn, UK Rail Reform and the Future of New Public Management

Each year, all EMPA graduating students present their final thesis projects in a poster exhibition held just before graduation. The winners are selected by a committee made up of Dean of Graduate Programmes, Christine Reh, Director of PhD Programmes and Digital Learning, Annika Zorn, and EMPM alumna, Hannah Ormerod
