MIA 2018 graduate shares what drew her to international affairs and kickstarted a career in academia.
Azucena Moran graduated from the Master of International Affairs programme in 2018 and went on to become a researcher at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in Potsdam, Germany, where she now focuses on the topics of participatory and deliberative democracy as it relates to the climate crisis.
In a chat at the 2022 Alumni Reunion / Hertie Summit in June, Moran told us about the internship that drew her to study international affairs, her favourite class at the Hertie School and how to enjoy the summer sunshine in Berlin.
