Apply for this flexible executive master’s programme for experienced professionals. The priority deadline is 1 June and the final deadline is 1 August.

Our online admissions portal is now open for Executive Master of Public Administration applicants. If you already have several years of work experience under your belt (3 years minimum, 9 is the average) and you’re looking for a flexible degree to help advance your career in policy, administration, business, global affairs or a related field, check out the Executive MPA!

You can complete the programme full time in one year or part time in 2-4 years. You can also continue working as you complete your degree, due to the programme’s block schedule format: courses are taught in condensed modules, each for few days at a time. And if you’re not ready to delve into the full programme just yet, book Executive MPA Courses individually or in combination as a certificate for maximum flexibility! The credits earned and fees paid for these can be transferred to the full Executive MPA degree later.

To find out more about how your studies at the Hertie School can accommodate your schedule and individual circumstances, read our conversation with the Executive MPA Programme Manager on the programme's flexibility.

How to apply

  1. Take a look at our admissions requirements and see if you’re eligible. Do you have at least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), at least three years of work experience and a good command of English? If you answered yes to all three of these questions…we encourage you to apply!
  2. Register in our online application portal.
  3. Upload all required documents in the portal. Once we’ve received all documents, we’ll start the evaluation process.

Important deadlines

The priority deadline for the Executive MPA is 1 June 2022.

While funding is available up until the final deadline on 1 August 2022, we recommend applying by the priority deadline to increase your chances of receiving financial aid. We also offer several special partial scholarships for candidates with specific profiles. Since we review applications on a rolling basis, the sooner you apply, the sooner you will receive admissions and funding decisions, and the sooner you can start planning for this new chapter in your career!
