Public talks and other research activities
On day zero of this year’s Internet Governance Forum, which will take place in Berlin from November 25-29, Daniela Stockmann will participate in a workshop titled As a stakeholder in the digital transformation, can civil society make its voice heard? It will take place at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community. This multi-stakeholder meeting will bring together high-level representatives from business and civil society from all over the world.
On 25 and 26 November, the Centre for Digital Governance, European University Institute, and the Oxford Internet Institute will organize a closed high-level policy dialogue on "The Governance of Digital Networks: Convergence or Fragmentation?"
The policy dialogue takes place as part of a two-year research project titled The Transformation of Global Governance at the European University Institute. Each policy dialogue under the project’s banner brings together a small number of senior policymakers, recognised experts and key participants from academia, industry, and civil society in discussion under the Chatham House rule.
On November 14, the Centre for Digital Governance organised the 6th WHU Hauptstadt Dialog in cooperation with the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. In addition to providing stimulating discussions on a selected topic, this event series is dedicated to networking and exchanging ideas in an informal setting. Within this framework, Gerhard Hammerschmid shared his ideas about "Digitisation and Governance."
In the run-up to the 8th Zukunftskongress Staat und Verwaltung 2020, the Centre for Digital Governance will host a meeting with the press titled Getting administrative digitization started!Old problems, young ideas.
