Gerhard Hammerschmid gave keynote presentation at international conference on e-government

There is an increased understanding that we need to better embed values in our digital transformation and have a more human or citizen-centric perspective, said Hammerschmid in his presentation. 

In his keynote presentation, Professor of Public and Financial Management and Director of the Centre for Digital Governance, Gerhard Hammerschmid, talked about the concept of the Smart City and about redefining the Smart City in Europe with an emphasis on moving from techno-centricity towards collaboration, wellbeing and human-centricity, as corner stones of succesfull digitalisation. 

The international conference on e-government entitled "Human-centric digital transformation of the public sector" took place on 10 December and was hosted by the Ministry of Public Administration. The event was organised under the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
