You're invited: ARIADNE hosts the next virtual Kopernikus symposium / 9-10 June 2021

ARIADNE is a research project firmly embedded at The Hertie School Centre for Sustainability. It aims at providing practically relevant scientific advice on governance and policy for a successful transition to a carbon neutral society in Germany and Europe. Christian Flachsland und Lion Hirth lead the Hertie School’s contribution to ARIADNE with analyses of options for designing climate policy institutions, policy instrument-mixes, policies to embed the energy transition into the international energy and climate policy context, and on electricity market design.

In June, the ARIADNE project will host the next virtual Kopernikus symposium under the umbrella of the major Kopernikus projects on the energy transition, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). At this conference, technologies and instruments for the energy transition to achieve a climate neutral Germany will be debated.

We would like to cordially invite you to join this event, which will take place online, on 9-10 June 2021. In particular, we recommend the panel about the institutional foundation of the German climate policy, featuring Christian Flachsland as well as Sabine Mauderer from Deutsche Bundesbank. Please check the event website for more information.

Please note the symposium will be held in German only.
