Bastian Lotz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Münster and spent a semester at Sciences Po Strasbourg. At the Hertie School, he studied public policy with a focus on climate and energy policy as well as quantitative methods. He completed a Professional Year at the German Federal Environment Ministry and worked as a student assistant at KPMG in public sector consulting. His other professional experience includes internships in the External Affairs department of Daimler AG in Berlin and in the Brussels Office of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Bastian gained further international experience as an intern at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in Tanzania and as a volunteer for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GiZ) in South Africa.
