Federico Cardenas holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Universidad de los Andes (2014). He works as a consultant in development economics at the World Bank. Previously, he worked as an associate at Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría. His legal practice focused on private equity, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. He participated in domestic and cross-border transactions involving private equity funds and fund formation activities. He participated in the international and comparative business law programme at Bucerius Law School. In 2014, he published an article in the Revista de Derecho Privado (Private Law Review) of Universidad de los Andes analysing the legal framework of collective investment schemes. In 2016, he published an article in the Private Equity Review analysing the legal framework for fundraising regarding private equity funds in Colombia.
