Georg Freise started focusing on public policy after finishing a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Regional Studies specialising in political theory and East Asian civilisations. At the Hertie School and during an exchange semester in Austin, USA, Georg has been studying empirical methods, strategy and democracy. He has received a scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (DAAD) and has gathered work experience at the German Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Deutschlandradio and the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. He has also completed a Professional Year with Accenture Strategy working in public sector consulting. Georg has participated in exchange programmes in Ireland, Japan and China, but plans to stay in Berlin after graduation and continue working in consulting.
