Giacomo Santangelo is an Italian student with an international upbringing. After doing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies at Leiden University, he began the MPP at the Hertie School. His previous professional experience includes working at Climate Focus and at the Economic Office of the Italian Embassy in Berlin. His main area of interest lies in climate policy and its social impact – in other words, in the way that green growth can contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future in both industrialised and emerging countries. He is passionate about resilience strategies in local contexts and their potential in metropoles on the global level.
