Ibrahim Köran holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences from the University of Hohenheim where he specialised in crop sciences. He studied public policy at the Hertie School, focusing on management and organisation. In addition, he attended courses in global governance at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. During his exchange semester at the National University of Singapore, he gained an in-depth knowledge of management in the public and private sectors. He held leadership positions in student organisations during his bachelor studies and was a member of two supervisory boards of public institutions. He worked in the agricultural sector in Turkey and in the public-sector consulting branch of KPMG in Germany. His interests include public sector innovation, technology, and sustainability.
