Lars Jerrentrup holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Technische Universität Darmstadt. At the Hertie School, he studied public policy, focusing on environmental, climate and energy policy. He spent one semester at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and participated in a summer school at Tongji University in Shanghai. Lars gained professional experience working as an assistant policy officer at the German Federal Environment Ministry, where he oversaw the legislative process for the ratification of the Paris Agreement. Other work experience includes internships in the Cluster for Sustainable Urbanisation, Transport and Energy at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GiZ) in Beijing and with the Green Party of Germany. Lars has received scholarships from the German National Merit Foundation and the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
