Lukas Nüse obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Bonn before starting his studies at the Hertie School. During his undergraduate degree he worked for the Bertelsmann Stiftung in Brussels as well as for the Bonner Akademie für Forschung und Lehre praktischer Politik, a political think tank based in Bonn. More recently, Lukas completed an internship in the EU division of the German Federal Ministry of Finance, and spent his Professional Year working for the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, also in the EU division. His general areas of interest include economic and fiscal policy as well as labour and social policy at the EU level. Lukas is also regularly published in Makronom, a German online magazine for macroeconomic policy.
