Max Pfeifer holds an MPP from the Hertie School and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Malmö University in Sweden, with an exchange semester at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. While completing his studies in Sweden, Max led a student-run association focused on international affairs. After interning at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Zambia, the German Bundestag and the German Embassy in Beijing, Max worked as a policy officer at the East Asia division of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in Berlin. During his studies at the Hertie School, he did a summer traineeship at PwC and worked at the Digital Government division of SAP. His interests range from industrial policy of Asian economies and global trade policy to the digitisation of the economy and innovation policy.
