Oscar Iván Pineda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government. He is studying public policy at the Hertie School, focusing on development policy, public management and quantitative methods. He has worked as an adviser and consultant in various Colombian government agencies in the fields of social policy and legislative affairs, focussing on policy design and evaluation. He has served as a legislative adviser to the office of the Minister of Finance of Colombia, was engaged in the design of the Social Innovation Strategy, and led an evaluation of the disability policy of Bogota. As a researcher at different research institutions in Colombia and Germany, he has participated in projects related to public management, democracy and migration. His interests lie in development policy, social innovation, capacity-building and policy evaluation.
