Patrick Sullivan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with additional majors in Economics, Political Science and History, as well as a certificate in European Studies. Before studying at the Hertie School, he taught Economics, Government and US History in a school district and studied at the Goethe Institut in Berlin for five months. While doing his MPP at the Hertie School, he specialised in traditional and behavioural economics. Also, he served as Social Representative for the Hertie Student Association where he promoted club activities, planned social events, and organized o-week activities. His academic record and immersion within the school earned him The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) /Foreign Office prize and a Berliner Freiwilligen Pass, the city’s award for committed and active volunteers.
