Sarah Fasbender was born in Germany but has lived and worked in Spain, India, Ghana and the United States. Her work with an Indian organization in the field of human trafficking inspired her to co-found a non-profit that supports the fight against child prostitution. Before joining the Hertie School, Sarah worked for Ashoka, the world’s biggest support organisation for social entrepreneurship. She led the programme for Ashoka Changemaker Schools in Germany, which gave her experience in two areas she is passionate about: innovation and education. Sarah is currently working part-time at the German Bundestag, allowing her to combine her theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics and Development from Bayreuth University and aims to work in the field of innovation and education after finishing her studies.
