Abeera Atif holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and History from Jacobs University in Bremen. During this time, her research interests pertained to refugee and migrant rights, which led her to pursue work in NGOs in Berlin. Her professional experience includes working for a grassroots initiative, Give Something Back To Berlin, where she was the Communications Editor. Her skills include social media management and journalism, as well as campaign and content creation. While pursuing her Master of Public Policy at the Hertie School, she focused on policy analysis methods and gained experience in data organisation and analysis. Her fields of interest include refugee and migration policy and civil society initiatives.
