Alejandra van der Biest is a Master of Public Policy graduate concentrating in management and organisations. She holds a Bachelor of Political and Administrative Sciences from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Her most recent work experience in Germany is linked to the empowerment of young entrepreneurs in emergent markets. Previously, she also worked with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) at their country office located in Caracas, Venezuela, where she gained experience with development cooperation organisations regarding issues such as sexual and reproductive health, adolescent pregnancy, youth empowerment and demographic dividend. Her interests are health and youth policies. After graduating, she intends to pursue a career in the public sector and the international development arena.
