Anja Henriksson completed her undergraduate degree at University College Maastricht and at Korea University, where she focused on development politics and conflict studies. At the Hertie School she specialised in the international relations of non-Western powers. Her studies gave her a deep understanding of international relations, political science, law and economics. She is also interested in the relationship between development, peace and conflict. During an internship at the German Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, she prepared and represented the German position for the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), which deepened her insights into multilateral institutions and international diplomacy. While working as a student employee at Accenture Strategy she was introduced to the strategic analysis of modern public-sector challenges.
