Anna Lena Hackelsberger holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and spent an exchange semester at the University of Navarra. At the Hertie School, she studied public policy with a focus on energy and climate policies. Her professional experience includes working for the companies BASF SE and BASF France, for the consultancies Kienbaum and Roland Berger as well as in the public sector at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. During her studies at the Hertie School, Anna Lena was a Teaching Assistant in Applied Economic Analysis. In her master’s thesis, she combines her interest in energy and climate policies with political analysis as she examines the role of the German coal commission in the political process.
