Clara Nonnenkamp studied Chinese and International Relations (Honours) at the University of Leeds. Specialising in security politics during her Master of International Affairs at the Hertie School, she has put academic knowledge into practice by helping organise the Munich Security Conference (MSC 2018), interning for the German Federal Foreign Office and participating at a joint conference of the German Bundeswehr and the Federal Academy for Security Policy in the summer of 2017. One of her greatest professional achievements was the conceptualisation of the public event “#MSC2018 – The Force Awakens: Artificial Intelligence and Modern Conflict”. Having invited Sophia the Robot as a keynote speaker, the event led to her thesis topic. She is ready for new opportunities at home or abroad.
