Frederik Hoppe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz, where he also worked as a teaching assistant for strategy and leadership as well as for data analysis with statistical software. At the Hertie School Frederik studied public policy and earned a Master of Science in Economics and Management at Università Bocconi via the dual degree programme. During his time at the Hertie School he completed a Professional Year as a policy officer in the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community, first in the division for international urban development policy and smart cities and later in the office of the state secretary. Moreover, Frederik was the treasurer of the Hertie Student Association and co-headed the Hertie School’s beach volleyball club.
