Katherine Tepper holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice and Music Education as part of the dual degree program between the University of Rochester and the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, USA. At the Hertie School, she studied international affairs with a concentration on finance and trade policy, specialising in European trade policy and transatlantic trade relations. During her studies, Katherine served as a graduate research assistant at the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and as the president of the Hertie School chapter of European Horizons, a student-run transatlantic policy incubator. She was also the recipient of a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) graduate study scholarship and was a 2016-2017 Fulbright Scholar.
