Lennart Oestergaard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science from the University of Münster where he focused on political communication and spent an exchange semester in the US at Seton Hall University. In line with his interdisciplinary and international interests, he studied international affairs at the Hertie School with a focus on foreign and development policy. His professional experience includes working at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, at Hering Schuppener Consulting as well as a Professional Year at the German development agency GIZ. Throughout his studies at the Hertie School, Lennart has also worked for a Member of Parliament in the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) at the German Bundestag in the area of foreign affairs. He is also a voluntary board member of an NGO which promotes German-Tanzanian exchange.
