Luiza Leite de Queiroz is an MIA candidate at the Hertie School and is currently working at an international development consultancy in Berlin. A lawyer by training, she holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a Master of Laws in International and Comparative Law from Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin. An exchange semester at the University of Coimbra in Portugal ignited her interest in the European project and the European Union. Her experience with international development cooperation stems from a traineeship done with the German development agency GIZ‘s Civil Society Political Participation Programme in Lusaka, Zambia. She has over nine years of legal experience, having worked in public bodies in Brazil such as the Federal Prosecution Service and the State Court of Rio de Janeiro, and as an associate lawyer at a law firm in Rio.
