Maximilian Matting holds a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from Maastricht University, for which he obtained a distinction and where he belonged to the top 5% of the graduating class. Alongside his studies at the Hertie School, he gained professional experience at a European media outlet, the German Bundestag, the German Embassy in London, and in public sector consulting at KPMG. During his Master of Public Policy he has specialised in management and organisation, which deepened his interest in the current challenges facing the public sector. He is especially interested in public procurement, both at the European Union level and the national level, and in the future potential of digital transformation. Maximilian holds a scholarship from the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
