Minhaz Morshed holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. In addition, he has close to three years of experience in international development cooperation. He worked as a consultant for Germany’s development agency GIZ in Bangladesh on assessing the business case for their renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. Later, he also served as an adviser at the German Embassy Dhaka in Bangladesh to promote labour rights and environmental safeguards in the country’s garments sector. Currently, Minhaz is a regular contributor for the Economist Intelligence Unit, as well as an analyst at Roland Berger for smart cities. While his thematic interests lie in sustainability topics such as water policy and disability inclusion, he also enjoys working on strategy development and analysing political risk. In addition to speaking English and German, Minhaz also speaks Bangla.
