Sean Witry is completing his Master of International Affairs with a concentration in security and sustainability. Prior to studying at the Hertie School, he worked in Berlin’s vibrant start-up scene. He received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Studies and Russian from DePaul University in his hometown of Chicago. Sean has a passion for social justice and public health. Currently working in medical technology, he draws on this interest in health policy as he works to improve health outcomes using AI and machine learning. His prior work experience spans from higher education to asylum law for LGBT clients. He was the co-chair of the Hertie School’s European Public Policy Conference 2018 and is an active rugby player.
