Solène Hémery began her Master of International Affairs at the Hertie School after completing a Bachelor of Science in Politics and International Relations at the University of Bristol. In order to gain more applied skills and professional experience, she took a leave of absence, first to do an internship with the Cabinet of the President of the European Committee of the Regions, then in a public relations firm in Paris, and finally as the Operations and Communications Intern for Action Against Hunger Canada. After finishing her master’s degree, she aims to explore the topics of political communications and gender in greater depth, either through work experience, further academic education or by means of personal research.
