Tahar Kechrid is a Master of International Affairs candidate at the Hertie School in Berlin whose particular area of concentration is security and sustainability. His ongoing research is focussed on the MENA region. He also has a keen interest in the energy transition, policymaking and sustainable development. Alongside his studies he is working at the German Energy Agency (dena) in their start-up energy transition team. Tahar has also worked with various NGOs addressing a range of issues relating to democratisation processes. These include the Project on Middle East Democracy in Washington DC, Search for Common Ground in Tunis and the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin. Tahar holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as well as a Master of Arts in Diplomacy.
