Umal Nasir is transitioning career paths by pursuing an Executive MPA after six years of working in marketing for leading multinational corporations and successful brands across Dubai and Pakistan. In her current role at BerChain, a Berlin-based blockchain community organisation, she is responsible for promoting Berlin as the global blockchain capital through themed events, workshops on selected blockchain topics, public sector partnerships and the development of new cooperations within and outside the Berlin blockchain ecosystem. Prior to this she worked with StartUp AsiaBerlin in cooperation with the Berlin Senate and the German development agency GIZ, to organise modular training, mentorship and exchange programmes supporting entrepreneurs and start-ups in Berlin and leading Asian cities. She is also interested in GovTech programmes and change management related to digitalisation.
