Victor Ortiz Rivera is interested in the mechanisms through which civil society can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in developing countries. His professional experience has been focused on organising academic events with national stakeholders and international partners, with the aim of bringing environmental topics to the attention of policymakers. He has also worked as a research assistant in the area of governing forestry institutions and has recently developed an interest in qualitative methods and data visualisation. In Mexico, he is president an NGO focused on enabling youth to develop projects related to the Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, he has volunteered in organisations that work on education for sustainable development for over 10 years.
