Eduardo Bassani has worked in the Brazilian public sector since 2001. During his career, he worked as a Technical Assistant at the Secretariat of Planning for the State of Bahia and subsequently as a Planning and Budget Analyst for the Brazilian federal government, where he held positions as Deputy Coordinator at the Secretariat of Planning and Investment of the Ministry of Planning and at the Federal Budget Office of the Ministry of Economy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Universidade Federal da Bahia and an MIA from the Hertie School. His areas of expertise include public budget and social policies and he is particularly interested in social and development policies, democracy and international comparative studies.
