Carolina Samper Hiraldo holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Master of Arts in Journalism from Complutense University of Madrid. At the Hertie School, she studied public administration, specialising in global governance and looking into electoral forecasting and media. Her professional experience is in the public sector, communications and media. This includes the regional government of Andalusia, the Local Council of Andújar and the news agency Europa Press, with roles such as Technical Advisor, Chief of Press and Head of Communications. Carolina is interested in using her skills for the spread of democratic values worldwide and in exploring how data science, journalism and policymaking can work together to nurture well-informed and free-thinking public opinion.
