Eduardo Valencia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management, Business Administration, and History from Briar Cliff University, USA. At the Hertie School, he studied international affairs, specialising in finance and trade. During his master's studies, he worked as a part-time Research Assistant at the Cluster of Excellence "Contestations of the Liberal Script" (SCRIPTS) investigating the reaction to the Belt and Road Initiative in Latin America and Chinese engagement with the region more broadly. His other professional experience includes consumer and commercial banking and political communication. Eduardo is particularly interested in opportunities in economic development, sustainable finance and carbon transition projects in the Global South.
