Julia Ellingwood is a former teacher and edtech professional, who decided to study public policy after several years leading customer success organisations for US-based education start-ups. While at the Hertie School, she focused on policy analysis and quantitative methods. She honed her data analysis and research skills while working as a Research Assistant to Dr. Jianghong Li at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and as a Teaching Assistant for Statistics II taught by Professor Simon Munzert. In 2021, she also had the privilege of completing a student entrepreneurship project as part of the Sustainable Development Goals Professional Certificate, organised by the Global Public Policy Network. She is interested in labour and education policy, political inequality and Indigenous rights.
