Mariam Lortkipanidze holds a Bachelor of Legal Studies from the Free University of Tbilisi and a Master of Comparative Constitutional Law from Central European University (CEU) in Budapest. At the Hertie School she studied public policy, specialising in public management. She worked for the EU Judiciary Support Project in Georgia. Her other professional experience includes working at the Constitutional Court of Georgia and non-profit organisations and participating in projects funded by international organisations. During her master’s studies, she worked as an Intern for the European Center for Populism Studies. Her latest academic interests include the rule of law and democracy, populism, illiberal governance and post-truth politics.
